Rats, fat stacks and furious attacks [Session 4 and 5 (20/7/21-27/7/21)]

Running towards the approaching rat monster, Gwin deftly draws and throws a dart into the face of the creature, narrowly missing an eye and clearly hurting the beast, which snarls with rage. 

Taelo fires a Guiding Bolt spell at the creature, severely harming the monster, which is then finished off by an arrow to the face from Sage.

The party finish off a last rat minion or two and then speread out to check the basement. 
Behind a stone in teh wall, Gwyn finds a rotted leather pouch with 11 gold pieces in it behind a stone. 

The party split into two groups, with Leo playing an inspiring song on his pipes, hearding and catching rodents into cages. The party catches 50 assorted rodents. and then leaves the basement

Ineno - one of the 7 gods with 14 aspects of the old empires pantheon. Seafarers. Common deity in Delta City. Accolyt of the church = Bronn advised the location of the local churches and invited attendence to attend services at Dawn, high noon and dust. Bronn used a magical necklace to heal members of the public. in teh shape of a ships wheel with spikes for spokes.

Meanwhile back at the Inn, the party arrives in the late afternoon and takes a rest to recuperate from the fight with the rats.

An Elven Woman named Maisey approches Gwin and Lisa's character. Maisey is a prospector who will be playing in the game tonight and needs a couple of bodyguards in order to protect her and her winnings, especially from fellow player Black Pete who has alegedly stolen from/cheated her before. Gwin and Lisa accept the job, with Sage offering an aside to Gwin that it would be helpful to have an inside Dwarf for a project he has in the works. He is rebuffed by both Gwin and Lisa, who find the course of action he is suggesting to be dishonourable.

Sage, borrowing money from Taelo (in return for 30% of his winnings), and pickpocketing a drunken dwarf for the remainder of the buy-in, gets into the game. He arranges for Taelo to have access to the game room, as his body guard.

8 Players take a seat at the table including Black Pete, Maisey and Sage.

The back room has one door and no windows. each of the players has at least one bodyguard. with two house-guards stationed at the door.

The Players include:

• Sage, with Taelo at his back.
• Maisey, backed by Gwin and Lisa, clearly hostile towards Pete.
• Another human player dressed in black witha silver banded hat. She looks as though she may lived a hard life and she seems to harbour a dislike for Pete.
• A bespectacled elderly gnome. Leather coat, tools in his pockets. Eccectric looking.
• A halfling player. with large sideburns, laughing, having fun, drinking a bit.
• 2 other players. 
• Black Pete, a dangerous looking human with a large half-orc bodyguard at his back, bearing a large sword.

As play proceeds, a few players get knocked out. eventually Sage gets the deal and through a few sleight of hand misdeals, manages to deal himself a 4 of a kind. Black Pete, with a straight goes all in, raising on multiple occasions, until the reveal in which he looses everything. He does not take it well and attacks Sage in  fit of rage.

Sage tries to talk Petedown, but to no avail, so he retreats behind Gwin and Lisa.

Gwin steps forward and plants an unarmed strike to the face of Pete, stunning him.
